Support the Library

The Friends of the New Braunfels Public Library, Inc. is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing support to the public library through fundraising and volunteer participation. Contributions to the Friends are used exclusively for our public library to enhance library services and programs.

Money Raised by FOL

  • Provides early literacy programs
  • Funds database subscriptions
  • Funds the purchase of library materials such as Reflections CDs, the oral history of New Braunfels, and book bags for 1000 Books Before Kindergarten 
  • Offers teen programming
  • Funds children's special events and performances
  • Provides funding for outreach programs
  • Sponsors the Book Page magazine
  • Sponsors the Summer Reading Programs for all ages
  • Funds adult programming including fitness, computer classes, crafts, book clubs, guest speakers, performances
  • Provides staff appreciation and support

The mission of the New Braunfels Public Library Foundation (NBPLF) is to secure private funding to meet the library’s needs for program development and improvement of services and facilities that are not normally met by public funding.

 

 

The Library Advisory Board acts in an advisory capacity to the City Council for the continued improvement and development of the City public library and promotes close communications between the City and all private residents to secure the greatest degree of public benefit from the library resources and services.
