General Troubleshooting Tips

  1. Restart the Device
Many issues can be resolved by simply restarting the computer, tablet, or smartphone.

  2. Check the Internet Connection
Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi or cellular data, and the connection is stable.

  3. Clear Browser Cache and Cookies
In your browser settings, clear cached data and cookies to resolve loading issues.

  4. Update Software and Apps
Make sure your browser, device operating system, and library apps are updated to the latest version.

  5. Try a Different Browser or Device
If a resource isn’t working, test it on another browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox) or device.

  6. Disable Pop-up Blockers
Some library resources require pop-ups to function correctly.

  7. Verify Login Credentials
Double-check your library card number and PIN/password for accuracy.

If necessary, a library staff member can reset your pin/password for you.

  2. Renew Library card
This is a common reason why apps stop working. Give us a call at 830-221-4300, or come into either library branch and we can renew your card for you.
