Summer Reading is Fun for All Ages!

Welcome to New Braunfels Public Library's Summer Reading Experience!

The library's summer program is about more than reading — we also encourage you to attend library programs, visit local parks, write, do an art project or try a new recipe. And when you complete enough activities (or read as a substitute!), you'll earn prizes.

The Summer 2021 theme is Tails & Tales, so many of our programs and activities will have an animal or storytelling theme!

Here's how it works:

The library has one game card for all ages, so families are encouraged to do activities together. Each time you complete an activity from the list on the game card, write it in a square (repeats are okay!).

After you complete five activities, come to the library to pick up your first prize. After you complete 10 activities, come in and pick up your second prize!

When you've completed the game card (25 activities) you will receive an entry for our grand prize drawing.

Grand prize entries are accepted through July 31.

Storytime at Fischer Park

Wednesdays at 9:00 | Fischer Park's Hilltop Pavilion

This summer, we're taking storytime to Fischer Park! During Family Storytime, we share books, songs, rhymes, and music in a warm, welcoming environment for all ages. We also have fun counting and exploring colors and shapes. After storytime, take a Take & Make craft home!

Registration is required to secure a table for your family/group.
